Silver Age Green Arrow was a poor man's Batman, so it stood to reason that he would also get his own poorly conceived female spinoff character with gadgets themed after make-up and hair care products. She would have been lost to the ether of lousy characters if she hadn't been re-imagined as the ultimate stage mom. The idea is very simple, but it works incredibly well.
I've played with the timeline of her relationship with Olliver Queen, not wanting to have their relationship overlap with his relationship with Dinah. It also means that I've removed the possibility that Cissie might be Ollie's daughter, but that always felt cheap to me. The guy has too many estranged children as it is. |
