23-year-old Jay Garrick conducts a lab experiment to use a cyclotron to purify hard water with no resitual radiation, but is knocked unconscious by the hard water fumes and subjected to mysterious radiation, the combination of which leaves him hospitalized, where he slowly realizes he has developed his speed powers. He becomes the Flash.
35-year-old Edward Clariss sees the Flash, and believes he is somehow using a version of his old formula, and decides he will somehow reverse engineer whatever is giving him his powers.
24-year-old Al Pratt graduates with a bachelors degree & begins working as a chemist.
52-year-old Amos Fortune realizes that he is down to his last lucky coin. He tries tries to protect himself, pushing away everyone he trusts. In the end the coin is stolen, and he's killed by Queenie.
