Brother Johnathan appears in the Battle of Palo-Alto defending Fort Texas from Mexican cavalry in the first conflict of the Mexican-American War.  His powers are vastly diminished as this is the first American War on foreign soil, and because of the American people's vast conflict over the bullish annexation of Texas.
