He starts regularly working cases with 26-year-old Iris West. He is assisted in learning about the speed force by scientist Clyde Mardon (brother of 22-year-old Mark Mardon). 34-year-old Roscoe Dillon refuels his powers from his speedforce connection, becoming the Top again.
25-year-old Leonard Snart begins working on his speedster-trapping designs again when the Flash first appears.
The Tchk-Tchkii, after spending several millenia trapped within their planet, develop an anti-oan war-homunculus and uploads their entire hive mind, escaping their prison and setting out to destroy the Guardians of Oa. They murder dozens of Green Lanterns including Abin Sur. 23-year-old Hal Jordan is chosen by Abin Sur as the new Green Lantern of Sector 2814, while 21-year-old Guy Gardner is chosen as his backup. He is brought to Oa where he begins his Green Lantern training with 41-year-old Kilowog alongside 4-year-old Ch’p & 26-year-old Medphyll before being assigned as an apprentice to Thaal Sinestro. He befriends 38-year-old Tomar-Re, the Green Lantern of a neighboring sector. When Legion arrives to kill the Guardians, Hal is able to absorb enough power from the battery to destroy the Legion armor. The protoplasmic remains of the Tchk-Tchkii are returned to their home planet. 21-year-old Carol Ferris has to deal with the repercussions of having a pilot dissapear while he is having his first mission out in space.
26-year-old Medphyll is selected for the Green Lantern Corp, leaving the Omega Men. He trains alongside 23-year-old Hal Jordan & 4-year-old Ch’p and helps battle Legion.
4-year-old Ch’p defends his homeworld from the Crabbite invasion of Doctor Ub’x. He's captured, but is selected to join the Green Lantern Corp and becomes one of the most sucessful new recruits, training alongside 23-year-old Hal Jordan & 26-year-old Medphyll and helping battle Legion. He's able to return to H’lven and defeat Ub’x, becoming the Lantern of sector 1014.
29-year-old Mark Shaw is captured by the Order of St Dumas. He is subjected to forced hypnosis to restore him to baseline for the Paul Kirk clones, but his Shaw identity remains dominant.
18-year-old Amon Sur's father dies. He escapes prison and returns to his life as a smuggler.
30-year-old Neil Emerson's experiments in Quantum Mechanics lead him to discover Abin Sur's ship, where he steals the magnetron, an alien weapon that allows him to control magnetism. Succuming to his own lust for power, he attacks his coworkers. 23-year-old Hal Jordan battles & defeats him. He is seperated from the magnetron and sent to prison.

46-year-old Scandal Savage's location is exposed to Vandal Savage by Kobra. She kills the mercenaries sent to collect her, handing over Kobra secrets to S.H.A.D.E. becoming an agent.
7-year-old Roy Harper's father dies, and he goes to live with his mother's people on their reservation, where he is taught by his grandfather Brave Bow.
31-year-old William Tockman slowly and quietly takes over organized crime in Star City as his competitors are dismantled by the newly-arrived 24-year-old Oliver Queen.

33-year-old Alec Holland first meets 23-year-old Abigail Cable, the wife of S.H.A.D.E. Agent 28-year-old Matthew Cable, who has come to Louisana on assignment to track him. She discovers who he is and they help each other understand the strange magics of Lousiana. She hides their connection from her husband.
28-year-old John Constantine is released from Ravenscar by gangsters that plan to force him to raise their fallen comrade. He cons them all and gets away scott free.
37-year-old Travis Morgan & 26-year-old Tara depart Thera for Shamballah. They assist a disguised Ashiya in recovering her people's lost artifact, the Mask of Life. Discovering the lost ancient technology of Atlantis, Morgan is separated from Tara, and while drugged he communes with a nameless Atlantean Death Goddess who names him her most loyal servant. He arrives in Shamballah through the ancient computers below the city, reuniting with Tara and discovering that she has born his son, who they name Joshua Morgan.
Ashiya disguises herself as a young woman to trick 37-year-old Travis Morgan & 26-year-old Tara to recover the Mask of Life, using it to bring Deimos to a state of living undeath, intent on manipulating him and absorb his death energy so that she can ascend in power. Unable to survive in the constant sunlight of Skartaris, Deimos creates Castle Deimos, a hidden lair that magically transports itself through the shadowlands.
33-year-old Machiste finds and claims a magical ax, and is corrupted by the demon possessing the artifact, becoming unwilling to let go of the ax. He begins to build up the military of Kiro, intending to begin a campaign of conquest.

28-year-old Jonathan Crane is fired from the University for firing a gun during a lecture, scaring one student so severely she suffered a heart attack. He becomes a fulltime resident psychologist in Arkham.
45-year-old Simon Stagg begins searching for mystic relics to craft new technology. Stagg Industries finds the living Cro-Magnon, 34-year-old Java. Simon makes him his personal valet & bodyguard. He falls in love with Stagg's daughter, 18-year-old Sapphire Stagg, who is starting college.
35-year-old James Gordon & 40-year-old Harvey Bullock destroy Commissioner Loeb's blackmail evidence with 34-year-old Crispus Allen's help, loosening his hold over the GCPD. Bullock becomes Gordon's most trusted ally.
