M'gann M'orzz is hatched on Mars, the child of a rogue tribe of White Martian terrorists who, afflicted with their belief in their ethnic superiority, firebomb Mar's atmosphere. The population of Mars, all afflicted with Ma'alefa'aks psychic virus and unable to defend themselves from fire, is wiped out. M'gann is placed in suspended animation in an underground stasis chamber along with her tribe.
